Chris and his team built a double width, single storey extension for us, on time and on budget. The whole project was managed by Chris who ensured everything went smoothly and all the trades knew what was needed and arrived at the right time. As ours is an old house, there were some unexpected issues, which caused us some minor panics but, they were dealt with in a calm and efficient manner and rectified without fuss.
They were on the job every day, on time, and always cleared up before leaving each evening. Two Story Rear Extension, Mr & Mrs Bates, Berkshire 2011
After discussions and receiving quotes from several building companies, all contacted either through the ‘Buy with Confidence Scheme’ or ’Check-a-trade’, KAM Construction’s professionalism, honest approach and very competitive pricing, made selecting them as our builder an easy process.
Chris and his team at KAM Construction carried out the rear extension work, re-roofing of the existing structure and extensive internal modifications as part of our build within the price quoted, and given the adverse weather they were faced with during the build, managed to complete with only a weeks overrun.
An amazing effort given the torrential rain we had during ‘summer’ this year, and a tribute to the team’s hard work whilst continuing to maintain their high standard of workmanship. The team ensured the local Building Controls officer was continually updated as the build progressed, so trouble free compliance with the council was always maintained.
For all of these reasons I’d have no hesitation in recommending Chris and his team for any building project.

Large Rear Single Extension: Mr Brown, Surrey Oct – Dec 2010
We selected Kam Construction based upon personal recommendations and a very competitive quotation. We were looking to under take modernization of the existing build whilst also completing a first storey rear extension. This would encompass many trades and with Chris effectively taking on the task of project manager for the whole engagement.
A big advantage of Kam construction was the bredth and variety of trades and contacts that were at their disposal to provide the best and affordable options. Whether it was Kitchen appliances to Window frames, central heating structures to rewiring electrical work, Chris pulled all of this together, from a selection of very capabile tradesmen.
Construction started in October 2010 on the outside works for the new build and carried on for several weeks. Chris coordinated all the trades and schedules for work, whether they were for the new build or the modernization of the existing structure. As you would expect, challenges came up during the works, but these were always laid out for us and the options clearly explained. This made it very easy for us to make an informed decision on how to proceed.
Construction was finished in late November with final modernaisation work on the plumbing side completing in early December. Give or take everything worked to schedule as originally planned and we had a completed project in time for Christmas.
We were very impressed with what Kam Construction delivered to us, in final deliverables as well as their professionalism throughout the project. The team were very personable which made the interaction very easy.
We would whole heartedly recommend Kam Construction as the results speak for themselves.
